Welcome to Alison's Yoga
I offer weekly yoga classes, including chair-based yoga, that are suitable for men and women whether you are a beginner or more experienced in your yoga practice.
With over 7 years teaching experience, my classes offer a safe and nurturing space where everyone is encouraged to work within their own limits, without any expectation of what they should do or how they should feel.
Yoga is much more than a physical exercise having wider benefits that improve your mobility, restore your energy levels, and increase your confidence. Yoga helps reduce the impact of stress within the body and the mind.
Yoga will help you become calmer and more effective in all that you do and sharing this experience with others is a pleasure and a privilege for me.

I warmly invite you to come along to a class to experience the benefits for yourself.

Alison Hayward
I have been teaching yoga for 7 years now and practicing for over 25 years. Since moving to Devon in 2013, my interest in my own personal development and health and wellbeing led me to deepening my yoga practice and train as a teacher.
In 2017, I started a 2 year Dru Yoga Teacher training course, comprising over 300 hours of training. I subsequently trained as a Dru meditation teacher in 2021, having already completed a Mindfulness course with the Exeter based Mindfulness Centre. I have undertaken many other short courses, workshops or retreats over the years, enhancing and deepening my own practice. Early on in 2026 I was able to make a career change and leave full time employment. This has given me the opportunity to offer more classes and share my love of yoga and its benefits with others. My yoga practice has offered me much more than physical exercise. Off the mat, it has opened up my journey into self awareness and offers me greater mental clarity and emotional resilience. It has enabled me to have a better perspective of my challenges and those of others. My practice is the cornerstone of my overall wellbeing.
"There is no better start to my day than practising yoga on dew-kissed grass, embraced by the beauty and stillness of nature."
